Dear Members:
Happy Fall y'all! If you have not checked out the new website at treasureislandartguild.org please do. We will be changing up the schedule a little this year and some of our meetings will be held at different times and venues. The calendar (under the "what's new" tab) should have all the updated information so no one misses anything.
October Meetings
Next month's intake/exchange will be held on Thursday, October 5th between 10:45 and 12pm followed by our board meeting in the Garden Room. Members are always welcome to attend the board meetings. Our member's meeting and reception this month will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 12 pm. Please bring a snack or dish to share on this date if you can. The theme this month is CHARTREUSE and we hope to see a lot of entries with this lovely shade of green but it is not required. You may enter up to 3 pieces.
September Winner
The winner of September's People's Choice show was Bruce Kotchey and his painting "Airborne". Congratulations!
Logo Contest
The deadline for this contest is Monday, October 9th. Please submit them to tiartguildinfo@gmail.com We are looking more for an art piece that will represent the guild rather than a graphic logo. I am sorry if that was not made clear earlier. That said, I am hoping to see a lot more entries in the next week. See the homepage of our website for a good example.
Classes and Workshops
We will be having our first Still Life Workshop on Wednesday October 4th in the Garden Room at 9:30. The cost is $7/members $10/nonmembers
Rolando Rodriguez will be starting his Painting From Pictures classes on Thursday, October 5th at 9:30 in the Garden Room. $20/members $22/non-members
The Portrait workshop continues Fridays at 9:15am. $10/members $13/non-members. Unfortunately, the board needed to increase prices this year to help maintain our organization. Please try and participate in a workshop or class if you are available. Bring a friend!
