Along Gulf Blvd you will notice new Treasure Island Beach Access signs. These signs were designed by Ruth Philopon a Treasure Island Art Guild member. Her design was one of many submitted to the TI Beach Stewardship Committee and was paid for from an Oil Spill Grant through NOAA (National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration). These signs could now be a constant reminder of how Art Guild members can give back to the community. Congratulations Ruth!

Our Wednesday morning Everything Goes Workshop will soon have a different format! On the first Wednesday of each month we will offer an instructor, instead of just studio time. The cost will be $10 for just the first Wednesday class each month, instead of our usual weekly cost. The Art Guild policy “first workshop free” will not apply to these instructor led classes. Remember, all these Everything Goes Workshop are held at Community Center in the Garden Room between 9:30 and 11:30 Wednesdays.

Our first guest instructor (November 1st) will be Ruth Wedgewood Philapon, a local artist with a history of fine art and success in the field. Ruth used to own a beautiful gallery in Wisconsin and later one on Treasure Island. She has traveled the world and lived in several counties. Ruth has much to share.

This Wednesday Nov. 1st "Everything Goes Workshop" will be instructional, lead by Ruth Philapon, who has asked that everyone take a picture or bring a picture you have of a door or a window, from outside looking in or inside looking out. She wants it to be something you have taken yourself, so you will have seen it with your own eyes. We look forward to seeing you in the Garden Room of the Community Center at 9:30pm. Use any materials you wish.

Please visit our Art Guild Shows & Meetings webpage for details of other workshop!!
