Art Guild Picnic!

On Saturday, October 22nd from noon until dusk, the Treasure Island Art Guild
will hold an artists picnic. The event will be at the War Memorial Park of the
Bay Pines Veteran Center, at Shelter #4. Entrance is located on the south side of
Bay Pines Blvd just west of the Seminole Bridge.
The event is open to all members of the Art Guild and their friends, at no charge.
Soft drinks and music will be provided. A large canvass will be provided for all attending
members of the Art Guild to portray their reflections of the day.

This “Still Life” class is going to be a challenge. Ikebana arrangements (Japanese floral studies), different objects, materials from other countries, sculptures, driftwood, seasonal arrangements and sometimes limited color palettes.
You decide on your medium – pastels, watercolour, acrylics or oil paints & size of composition.
Come with enthusiasm, excitement & your individual talents.

Fee: $6 members and $8 non-members
Our policy “first workshop free” will not apply to these classes.
The Art Guild is starting its basic drawing and watercolor classes on October 3.
Basic drawing will be from 9:30 a.m. to11: 30 a.m. basic watercolors from 12:30 p.m.
to 2:30 p.m. The cost for each class is $30.00 for 6 weeks or $6.00 per day if paid weekly
Classes will be held in The Treasure Island City Hall Auditorium 120 108th Avenue.

Members of the Art Guild’s Friday morning portrait workshop continued their painting activities
this summer by invitation of the Sun Tan Art Center. The Center has arranged for the Art Guild members
to exhibit their work in one of their galleries. It will be on exhibit throughout the month of September.
